Guys, after much consideration and nudging be a friend I have set up a Patreon in case you wanna support me doing more art.

Don’t worry, this does NOT mean I will stop posting my art here.

The Patreon-backers will get some few extra benefits here and there, but this is not about exclusive content. It is about being able to make some money out of doing what I love doing without ‘technically’ making money off copyrighted material. Also, this way it’ll be whatever you can afford and the more that support the more consistent my output will be.

I explain this on the frontpage too. You only pay when art is actually uploaded, not a set monthly fee, and you decide how much.

If you don’t have money or a credit card/paypal that’s ok, you’ll still get to enjoy my silly art and fanart as you always have ^3^ I just wanted to give this a chance.

If any Patreon nerd have ideas for more backer-rewards do tell me, I’m new at this ;)

Wow, awesome!  If there are any followers of mine who are being weighed down by too much money I would definitely recommend becoming a patron to this artist!

Enjoy. :)

Well, it’s finally completed. Fans all across the internet using their individual styles to create a recreation of an episode of Sailor Moon. Not too shabby.

Congratulations to all involved.

Oh shit! I did one scene in this! Go watch it!

This is amazing on every level.

Such an awesome idea, and executed fantastically!

The first episode of the Burka Avenger, Season 01. In this episode Vadero Pajero and Baba Bandook conspire to shut down the girls school. Burka Avenger comes to the rescue and saves the day.

HEY YA’LL THE FIRST EPISODE OF BURKA AVENGER IS UP ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!

I remember hearing about this so its nice to actually get to see it.  I have to say, it was a lot better than I assumed it would be.  It’s clearly got a limited budget but its hidden pretty well.

The animation is really snappy but the poses are generally very good which is better than the typical alternative of spliny cg movement seen in other low budget shows.

Design wise its very good as well, with distinct head shapes and color schemes.

I don’t think I’ll be watching this on the same burka time, same burka channel but I hope this sees success.  Based on the commercial in the middle of the episode they seem to have a whole transmedia thing going with this property.

To quote a certain Star Fleet member:

About Copypasting 3D-characters for CGI Movies: Do’s and Don’ts…

wee-tiny:

Disclaimer: I am no animation veteran in the industry. I am a fan who self-studies animation and goes to Game development school. Animation have been my life since I was 6 years old. I am mainly writing this to get my own thoughts out in a gathered post.

Last year, there was constant discussion about Frozen and their decisions when it came to design and copypasting. And there really is two sides of copypasting with CGI. I am on the side that Disney did an extremely lazy decision on the designs of Anna and Elsa and I am going to explain why in further detail. I’m also going to show example on when it’s done right, both from Disney themselves and other studios.

Nice view on the old Frozen character design debacle.

Absolutely true and right on point, and only you could have watched through Despicable Me enough to notice those clones :P
